Why choose me as your BGRS relocation specialist? After serving 10 years in the PPCLI, my father remustered as an air force firefighter. Every few years we packed up our things and moved to a different city in Canada. Upon my father’s retirement posting, my mother (also ex-army), decided to get her real estate license. In short – I grew up in a military family, with a mother who has 25 years of real estate experience. Military relocations are essentially a second language to me.

As a dedicated Military REALTOR®, I specialize in providing personalized support to CAF and RCMP personnel during their military postings to CFB Halifax and CFB Shearwater (Posted to CFB Greenwood? I accommodate families who may need to finalize negotiations remotely due to time constraints.

I provide valuable insights into neighborhood safety and school districts prior to your HHT, being sure to avoid neighbourhoods where your family's best interests are not at hand.

I offer referrals to trusted professionals including Home Inspectors, Real Estate Lawyers, Mortgage Brokers, and Insurance Companies.

House Hunting Trips

House Hunting Trips (HHT)

A successful HHT is crucial for securing accommodation at your new place of duty. Military members and spouses receive a maximum of 7 days/6 nights for the trip, covering travel, meals, lodgings, and local transportation.

Destination Inspection Trips (DIT) are also available for either the CAF member or spouse, lasting up to 5 days/4 nights.

House Hunting Trip Checklist

  • I will assist in booking accommodations in advance, if needed.
  • I will arrange for an approved Home Inspector. With many trusted inspectors, I can confirm flexibility in scheduling.
  • I advise on necessary documents and other process related items, including deposit amounts, file numbers, mortgage pre-approval, etc.
  • I help establish contact with local lenders or brokers with local knowledge and BGRS relocation experience to expedite the purchase process.
  • I provide a list of BGRS approved lawyers to assist with ensuring clear title, transferring funds.
  • I advise on additional inspections for properties with well and septic systems, which may be required for mortgage approval.
